Hoy el club de senderismo los rompesuelas hemos venido al pueblo de La Peza para realizar una ruta muy poco transitada. Aparcaremos en la plaza del Ayuntamiento de la Peza. Visitaremos los Quejigos centenarios, recolectamos gran variedad de setas como Níscalos y Boletus.
Subiendo la cuesta del mareo podemos observar a nuestra izquierda pinos y a nuestra derecha encinas, un paisaje para nada común, las encinas cubiertas por el musgo hacen que sea un paisaje de lo más bonito. Conforme subimos vamos haciendo varias paradas y observando como dejamos atrás el pueblo para contemplar las maravillosas vistas que nos ofrece desde la altura.
En el camino para llegar a los Quejigos centenarios podremos encontrarnos varios por el camino, nosotros veremos el Quejigo el Pastoro, cuya historia podréis encontrar en Wikipedia. Allí almorzaremos, para poder coger fuerzas y continuar la bajada, ya que está ruta es difícil debido a sus kilómetros, bajaremos por el camino que está habilitado para los vehículos, pudiendo recortar por cada vuelta bajando campo a través, cuando os encontréis con un cortijo en la bajada os recomiendo que os paréis y os asoméis para contemplar las vistas y por que no a descansar un par de minutos.
Veremos a lo lejos Diezma, conforme bajamos las vistas van cambiando constantemente al igual que su vegetación pasamos de pinos a almendros y así constantemente, continuaremos bajando hasta cruzar la carretera y llegar al mirador, llegados a este punto solamente nos queda 1km para llegar al coche que lo tenemos aparcado en la plaza del Ayuntamiento de la Peza.
